STROKE
Updated: Sep 7

Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease caused by a sudden lack of blood flow to the brain. It is primarily caused by two main factors: ischemic stroke (caused by a blood clot) or a blockage in the cerebral artery, and hemorrhagic stroke (caused by a ruptured blood vessel in the brain), resulting in bleeding. Both cases lead to damage to brain cells and can result in paralysis, disability, or even death.
1. Turmeric Extract (Curcumin)
The main active ingredient is curcumin, which is notable for its brain cell protection and anti-inflammatory properties.
Strong antioxidant properties: Reduces oxidative stress, which is a major cause of brain cell damage during periods of ischemia.
Protects blood vessels: Helps improve the flexibility and function of the inner lining of blood vessels.
Reduces inflammation in the brain: Research shows it helps reduce brain tissue damage after a stroke. 1. Helps maintain the integrity of the blood-brain barrier.
2. Fish Oil
Rich in omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which primarily help balance the circulatory system.
Reduces fat and dilates blood vessels: Helps lower triglyceride levels in the blood and helps lower high blood pressure, which is a leading cause of stroke.
Prevents platelet aggregation: Helps reduce the formation of blood clots that can block blood vessels in the brain, allowing blood to flow more easily.
Restores the nervous system: DHA is an important component of brain cells, thus contributing to nerve signal transmission and recovery after cerebral ischemia.
3. Vitamin D3
Plays an important role in controlling chemical balance, the immune system, and body repair.
Reduces the risk of vitamin deficiency: Epidemiological research has found that people with low levels of vitamin D in their blood have a higher risk of stroke, and if they do have a stroke, the symptoms are often more severe.
Stimulates brain-regenerating substances: Vitamin D3 helps stimulate the release of BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor), which is essential for the creation of new nerve cells and brain flexibility. (Neuroplasticity)
Blood pressure control: Helps regulate the renin-angiotensin (RAS) system in the body, which helps maintain normal blood pressure.
NOTE :
Do not use supplements as a substitute for standard medical treatment or prevention of risk factors (controlling blood pressure, blood sugar, quitting smoking, etc.).
If a patient is taking antiplatelet/anticoagulant medication, consult a doctor before starting turmeric or fish oil.
